This is significantly below the forecast of 8.50%. Therefore, inflation registered at its lowest level since the end of 2021. On a month-on-month basis, prices fell sharply by 0.40%, surpassing the forecast of -0.10%. <strong>This is the highest monthly price drop since 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The decline in inflation is mainly due to falling fuel prices &#8211; down 3.10% month on month, despite rising oil prices.
