Karl Pfaff has been appointed the new CEO of GLS Group, one of the largest logistics companies in Europe. Pfaff’s nomination continues GLS’s best practices, where experienced leaders are appointed to the highest positions.<\/p>\n
The new CEO of GLS Group has documented experience in international logistics. He worked for Lufthansa and the American consulting firm Bain & Company. In 2014, Karl Pfaff joined GLS, where he held various positions and dealt with strategy, sales and operations management. In 2020 he was appointed as CEO of GLS Germany and became a member of the GLS Group Executive Team, and also (before being appointed as the CEO of GLS Group) he held the position of Managing Director for Germany and the Benelux countries.<\/p>\n

GLS Group is an international company with a significant local presence in 40 countries across Europe, as well as in North America. GLS network consists of more than 120 distribution centres, over 1,600 branches, 37,000 vehicles responsible for the last mile delivery and 4,500 line haul vehicles. In Europe, the Group has 42,000 PUDO points and 4,800 parcel lockers. The Polish branch of GLS currently has 50 branches nationwide and over 6,000 parcel pickup and drop-off points in the Fast Parcel network.
