According to data from No Fluff Jobs, the only category in the IT sector where employment on a B2B contract is not the most frequently offered form of collaboration is job advertisements for beginners. Women own 38 percent of the IT companies registered in Poland. For IT specialists, the most popular type of employment is a contract of employment. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By the end of August 2023, there were <strong>177,000 registered IT companies in Poland<\/strong>, a majority of which are single-person businesses, as the analysis of the National Court Register (KRS) conducted by Dun &amp; Bradstreet reveals. According to data from the Polish job advertisement portal No Fluff Jobs, which requires the type of proposed contract to be specified in every announcement, <strong>the opportunity to be employed on a B2B contract appeared in 73.6 percent of IT job offers in the third quarter of this year<\/strong>. The proposal of employment based on a contract of employment appeared in 53.6 percent of the offers.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by No Fluff Jobs, a <strong>B2B contract has been the most frequently offered type of employment in the IT industry for years<\/strong>. The European Union is currently working on a directive intended to limit companies&#8217; hiring of workers on B2B or commission contracts. However, it is still uncertain when it would come into effect.<\/p>\n<p><em>The percentage of offers with B2B contracts has remained practically unchanged for years. It&#8217;s a standard established in the IT industry, where offering this type of cooperation is as natural as employer&#8217;s favor of fully remote work. The popular and most often accurate belief is that a B2B contract is more beneficial for employees earning tens of thousands of z\u0142otys, if we talk about the amount that finally enters the account<\/em>, comments <strong>Tomasz Bujok, CEO of No Fluff Jobs<\/strong> &#8211; <em>No wonder in the tech sector, where wages are high compared to most industries, it is a highly desired form of collaboration. I do not assume that things will change any time soon, as IT employers need qualified workers and are willing to hire those who work for other companies. Most of these companies, a whopping <strong>72 percent, are related to software<\/strong>. A little over 17 percent are involved in IT consulting. Just over 6 percent are registered in the category related to services in the field of information technology and computers, and less than 5 percent are in the category related to managing IT devices.<\/p>\n<p>The highest percentage of IT companies is registered in the Mazowieckie province (29 percent), followed by the Ma\u0142opolskie, Lower Silesian, and Silesian provinces (11 percent each). The Greater Poland province came in third, with 7 percent of such activities registered. We can find 2 percent in the Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian provinces, and the least \u2013 1 percent each \u2013 in the \u015awi\u0119tokrzyskie and Opole provinces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women run 38 percent of IT businesses<\/strong>. Meanwhile, from No Fluff Jobs&#8217; &#8220;Women in IT&#8221; report, it is evident that an employment contract is both the most popular form of collaboration among women in this industry (66.3 percent of respondents), and the most preferred \u2013 77.7 percent of respondents indicated it as their first choice.<\/p>\n<p><em>A permanent job has many advantages, with the most significant being greater job protection and plenty of social benefits. But in IT, where there is a huge shortage of specialists, and wages are high, all this matters less<\/em> said <strong>Tomasz Bujok, CEO of No Fluff Jobs<\/strong> &#8211; <em>Here, companies that are looking for experienced employees often make concessions and offer many benefits and 26 days or more of leave even under a contract. Working in IT gives employees tax benefits, but for the majority, lump sum taxation is also beneficial.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"B2B_does_not_dominate_only_in_junior_job_postings\"><\/span>B2B does not dominate only in junior job postings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The only category in the IT sector on No Fluff Jobs, where <strong>B2B does not dominate<\/strong>, are job offers for <strong>junior positions<\/strong>, although changes are occurring here too \u2013 so far at this experience level, more often, employment contracts were offered rather than a contract. However, in the third quarter of 2023, the share of both types of employment essentially equalled and accounted for <strong>54.8 percent and 53.3 percent respectively. <\/strong><strong>There is also a large share of commission contracts<\/strong>. This form of cooperation can be found in every fifth advertisement for beginners, while such propositions practically do not appear at middle and higher levels.<\/p>\n<p>The No Fluff Jobs data is derived from the analysis of IT category advertisements from the third quarter of 2023. The data from the &#8220;Women in IT&#8221; report comes from a study carried out in January-February 2023 on a group of 4651 women from 5 countries, including 2631 Poles, both working in IT and looking for their first job in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>The data cited in the text come from Dun &amp; Bradstreet&#8217;s research conducted in June 2023.
