One of the group’s key regional projects will be Swissôtel Gdynia, which is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2027. The hotel is being developed near Skwer Kościuszki, in one of the city’s most prominent locations, as part of the WATERHALL complex.

The investment is being carried out in cooperation with Allenort Group. The project is expected to strengthen Gdynia’s premium hotel offering and complement the city’s growing tourism and business infrastructure. Its location near the marina and the municipal beach places the hotel in one of the most recognizable parts of the Polish coast.

Swissôtel Gdynia will be the first hotel under this brand in Poland. Accor is simultaneously developing other premium brands across Central and Eastern Europe, including Swissôtel properties in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as Mövenpick hotels in Poland. The group’s strategy focuses on combining leisure, urban and wellness destinations with facilities for both business and tourist guests.

The hotel will offer 203 rooms, including suites and Vitality Rooms equipped with private fitness equipment. The property will focus on services related to relaxation, activity and well-being. Plans include a Pürovel Spa & Sport area with an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas and a fitness centre.

The hotel will also feature two restaurants, a lobby bar and a Sky Bar overlooking the sea. It will include a conference centre and an underground car park, allowing it to serve both individual guests and business events.

Jacek Stasikowski, Development Director Poland at Accor, said that the launch of Swissôtel in Gdynia marks another stage in the development of the group’s premium portfolio in Poland. According to Accor’s representative, the scale of the complex and its location were important factors behind the choice of the Swissôtel brand for this project.

Allenort Group sees the investment as its entry into the hotel sector with an internationally recognized premium brand. Dr Grzegorz Goryszewski, CEO of Allenort Group, said the project is intended to improve the quality of the offer in central Gdynia and create new infrastructure for both residents and visitors.

The WATERHALL complex is being developed near Gdynia’s marina and municipal beach. Its architecture is intended to refer to the tradition of Gdynia modernism. This is significant in the context of efforts to have Gdynia’s modernist city centre inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The opening of Swissôtel Gdynia will form part of the broader development of Poland’s premium hotel market. The project may increase competition in the segment of urban and seaside hotels on the Baltic coast, particularly in wellness, conference services and premium stays.

Accor is expanding its premium hotel portfolio in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.
