During the event, they signed a public aid agreement supporting the creation of jobs in IT services research and development under Poland\u2019s Investment Support Programme for projects of significant importance to the national economy for 2011\u20132030.<\/p>\n<p>The Toyota Digital Hub is expected to employ around 200 engineers. Its team will be responsible for developing the MyToyota and LexusLink+ applications, which are used by nearly 2 million people across Europe. These apps allow users to manage their vehicles remotely, check battery charge levels and access a range of convenience-related services.<\/p>\n<p>The team will also co-develop the cloud infrastructure supporting connected services for Toyota and Lexus vehicles across Europe, while providing cybersecurity support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project strengthens the position of Wroc\u0142aw and Poland as one of Europe\u2019s key centres for modern technologies and software development,\u201d said Micha\u0142 Jaros, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology.<\/p>\n<p>This is another Toyota investment in Wroc\u0142aw. Since 2015, the city has also been home to Toyota\u2019s Shared Services Centre, which provides finance and accounting services as well as internal audit support for all Toyota entities in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Toyota Digital Hub is expected to play an important role in software development in Europe and strengthen Toyota Motor Europe\u2019s position as a trusted partner in future global work on software-defined vehicles,\u201d Shinichi Yasui, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Europe, said during the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota Central Europe, headquartered in Warsaw, is responsible for the sales and distribution of Toyota and Lexus models in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
