In the 2025\/2026 school year, 6.7 million children, young people and adults were enrolled in Poland\u2019s pre-primary education facilities and schools\u201431,500 fewer than a year earlier. The decline was concentrated primarily in pre-primary education, where the number of children fell by 6.2%, while the number of primary school pupils increased by 1.4% as a result of the introduction of compulsory schooling for child refugees from Ukraine and demographic shifts, according to preliminary data from Statistics Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
