The current consumer confidence indicator, referred to by the Polish abbreviation BWUK, stood at minus 10.2 and was 0.3 points lower than in June.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, consumers assessed the outlook for the coming months slightly more favourably. The leading consumer confidence indicator, or WWUK, increased by 0.4 points to minus 7.3.<\/p>\n\n<p>Both indicators remained below zero. This means that pessimistic respondents continued to outnumber consumers who assessed the situation optimistically.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"consumer26-note\">\n  <strong>How should the indicators be interpreted?<\/strong> BWUK and WWUK can range from minus 100 to plus 100. In July, it declined to minus 10.2. The month-on-month deterioration was therefore small, although changes in the indicator\u2019s individual components were more varied.<\/p>\n\n<p>The assessment of the country\u2019s current economic situation deteriorated the most. Its balance fell by 2.7 points, from minus 20.7 in June to minus 23.4 in July.<\/p>\n\n<p>The assessment of households\u2019 future financial situation also fell by 0.8 points.
