Wonderful Plans PLN 200 Million Investment in Poland

Wonderful, a developer of AI agents for businesses, plans to invest PLN 200 million in Poland from 2027 to 2029. Most of the money will go towards expanding its Warsaw team, which has about 20 employees today and is expected to reach around 100 in 2027 and more than 200 by the end of 2029.

The company has operated in Warsaw since May 2026. It plans to hire software developers, software architects and AI deployment specialists, among others. Part of the budget will pay for adapting its software to Polish, infrastructure for local deployments and a new office.

“This is one of the largest AI investments announced in Poland by a company in the sector. Polish businesses have a strong appetite for AI and are adopting it as quickly as leading companies worldwide,” said Paweł Osterreicher, Wonderful’s general manager for Poland. “We are responding with an investment of around PLN 200 million in an agentic AI platform built by Polish engineers, using local language models and keeping data secure and under local control in Poland.”

“Leading Polish AI specialists who until recently worked on advanced projects in London, San Francisco and Zurich are now returning to build Wonderful in Warsaw,” Osterreicher said. “Poland is among the leaders in putting AI to work in business.”

Warsaw team to develop AI agents

Wonderful’s agents can contact customers by phone, chat and email and carry out tasks in the systems that employees use. The Warsaw team will develop the software that connects the agents to those systems and adapt them to handle interactions in Polish. Wonderful is targeting businesses in Poland in sectors including finance, telecommunications, energy and retail.

Wonderful says clients in Amsterdam, Paris and Rome already use components developed in Warsaw. The company also wants to expand its work with Polish universities, with plans for internships, hackathons and training in practical applications of AI.

Wonderful plans to use Polish language models

The company plans to use Polish language models including PLLuM and Bielik in local deployments. Customers will be able to run the software on their own infrastructure or in the cloud. The setup will allow data to be stored in Poland.

“From the start, Wonderful has worked on the principle that AI delivers results in a business only when the team deploying it speaks the customer’s language, literally and figuratively, and understands its key systems and regulatory requirements,” Osterreicher said. “Poland is a large market with considerable business potential and excellent IT specialists. That is why it is among the first places where Wonderful is investing capital from its latest funding round.”

In September 2026, Wonderful raised USD 550 million in a Series C round that valued the company at USD 5 billion. It operates in more than 35 markets and says it employs 850 people.
