GLS Group with a new CEO

Karl Pfaff has been appointed the new CEO of GLS Group, one of the largest logistics companies in Europe. Pfaff’s nomination continues GLS’s best practices, where experienced leaders are appointed to the highest positions.

The new CEO of GLS Group has documented experience in international logistics. He worked for Lufthansa and the American consulting firm Bain & Company. In 2014, Karl Pfaff joined GLS, where he held various positions and dealt with strategy, sales and operations management. In 2020 he was appointed as CEO of GLS Germany and became a member of the GLS Group Executive Team, and also (before being appointed as the CEO of GLS Group) he held the position of Managing Director for Germany and the Benelux countries.

“It is an honour to receive a nomination as the leader of the GLS Group. This is a unique company with tremendous potential, outstanding people and a strong brand. We will continue to focus on quality and profitable growth. Through continuous investment in our employees, innovative digital tools and raising the standard of our services, we want to strengthen the foundations of customer service,” comments Karl Pfaff on his nomination.

“I am very pleased with Karl’s nomination as the CEO of the GLS Group. Under his leadership, GLS Germany has significantly increased its revenue and profitability. Karl effectively managed the transformation of GLS into a customer-focused B2B and B2C parcel network whilst efficiently steering the company through the turbulent period of the pandemic, high inflation and international economic and political challenges. Karl has made a significant contribution to the ongoing digital transformation throughout the Group and made GLS a more sustainable company,” emphasizes Martin Seidenberg, whom Karl Pfaff succeeds.
