Mass Events in Poland Attracted 30.7 Million Participants in 2025

Poland’s mass event market expanded further in 2025, with both the number of events and total attendance moving higher year on year. A total of 7,000 mass events were organised across the country, drawing 30.7 million participants. This represented an annual increase of 1.9% in the number of events and 8.7% in attendance, confirming the growing popularity of large-scale sports, entertainment and cultural gatherings.

The data shows that the market is not only growing in size, but also in intensity. On average, a single mass event attracted around 4,400 participants. At the same time, clear regional differences remain. The highest average attendance was recorded in Mazowieckie, where events drew approximately 5,800 people on average, while Warmińsko-Mazurskie reported the lowest level at 2,100 participants per event. This highlights the concentration of large-scale events in the most economically developed and densely populated regions.

From a geographical perspective, Śląskie and Mazowieckie were the leading regions in Poland’s mass event landscape. Together, they accounted for more than one quarter of all events held nationwide. Śląskie recorded the highest number of events, while Lubuskie had the lowest. This confirms that infrastructure, population density and economic potential remain key drivers of event activity.

Sports events continued to dominate the market in 2025, accounting for 51.5% of all mass events. This makes them the largest segment of the industry. At the same time, artistic and entertainment events also expanded, with 3,400 events held during the year, marking an 8.3% increase compared to 2024. Within this category, concerts clearly played a central role, representing more than two-thirds of all events.

Growth in attendance was visible across both main segments, although sports events recorded a stronger increase. Overall participation in mass events rose by 2.5 million people compared to the previous year. Attendance at artistic and entertainment events increased by 0.9 million, while sports events attracted an additional 1.5 million participants. This suggests that sporting events remain a key driver of audience growth.

Paid events dominated the market structure. As many as 85% of all participants attended paid events. In the sports segment, this share was nearly universal, reaching over 98%, while in artistic and entertainment events it stood at around 67%. This indicates a high level of monetisation in the sector, particularly in sports, where ticketed entry is the standard model.

A noticeable shift also occurred in the types of venues used. Although most events were still held in indoor facilities, their number declined slightly compared to the previous year. In contrast, open-air events increased significantly. This trend may reflect growing interest in outdoor festivals, large-scale concerts and events that offer greater flexibility and capacity for organisers.

Overall, the 2025 data confirms that Poland’s mass event sector remains on a stable growth path. Demand is rising faster than supply, meaning that events are attracting larger audiences on average. The market continues to be driven by sports and concerts, with strong regional concentration and increasing importance of open-air formats.
