AI Specialists in Poland Can Earn Up to PLN 50,000 a Month

A Senior AI Solutions Architect can earn as much as PLN 50,000 per month. AI Engineers at Lead or Principal level can earn nearly as much, with salaries reaching PLN 45,000 per month, while a Senior LLM Engineer may expect up to PLN 42,000 gross. The number of job advertisements in Poland linked to AI-related roles and skills has increased by more than 2,000% over the past two years.[1]

Recruitment agency Devire has published its first AI Salary Report, dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence-related positions and roles. The report is based on 400 recruitment processes conducted over the past year and covers three AI-related areas: technical roles in AI/ML Engineering and Data Science, Generative AI and LLMs, and AI Architecture and Infrastructure focused on designing and scaling AI systems.

When ChatGPT was only beginning to enter the mainstream in 2023, relatively few companies viewed AI-related skills as a key competency. Today, the situation looks entirely different. Data from Poland’s largest recruitment platforms — Just Join IT, No Fluff Jobs and Pracuj.pl — show that the number of job offers containing AI-related phrases in their titles or descriptions rose from just several listings in 2023 to around 200–300 per month in 2025. This represents growth of more than 2,000% in only two years.[2]

Companies operating in Poland are increasingly building their own AI teams and looking for specialists who can not only develop models but also implement them in business processes. PwC’s The Fearless Future: PwC 2025 Global AI Jobs Barometer indicates that employees with AI skills earn, on average, 56% more than comparable workers without those competencies.[3] Importantly, this salary premium has more than doubled within a year: in the previous edition of the report, published in 2024, it stood at 25%.

LLM Engineers and AI Agent Developers: the new stars of the labour market

Some of the highest salary ranges among all the roles covered by the report are found in generative AI. An LLM Engineer, responsible for designing, fine-tuning and deploying large language models, can earn between PLN 15,000 and PLN 42,000 gross per month under an employment contract. An AI Agent Developer can expect salaries in the range of PLN 15,000–37,000 gross per month.

The figures available under B2B contracts are equally striking. A Senior LLM Engineer working on an hourly basis can earn PLN 180–250 net per hour. However, the most highly valued role across the entire AI spectrum remains that of an AI Solutions Architect. B2B rates can reach PLN 300 net per hour, while permanent employment can offer remuneration of up to PLN 50,000 gross per month.

Strong salaries also in traditional AI and machine learning

High remuneration is not limited to generative AI. In the AI/ML Engineering and Data Science segment, a Senior AI Engineer can earn around PLN 25,000–35,000 gross per month under an employment contract, rising to PLN 32,000–45,000 for Lead or Principal roles. A Senior Machine Learning Engineer can earn PLN 23,000–33,000 gross per month, while Lead-level professionals can earn up to PLN 42,000.

Even junior specialists are starting at PLN 10,000–15,000 per month, above the median salary level in Poland’s IT sector.

New professions, new rates

The Devire report also assesses relatively new positions such as AI Prompt Developer — a specialist responsible for designing and optimising prompts for AI models. Salary ranges begin at PLN 13,000 per month for junior employees on permanent contracts. A Senior AI Prompt Developer can earn PLN 160–190 net per hour under a B2B contract or PLN 28,000–32,000 gross per month under an employment contract.

“Devire has published IT Salary Reports for years, and they have attracted significant interest. This time, we decided to separate AI as a distinct area because our recruitment data show that it is no longer simply part of a broader whole, but an independent and rapidly growing market. We wanted to provide the market with hard data that would make it possible to assess where AI stands today and where it is heading,” says Adam Ajtner, Strategic Relationship Manager at Devire.
