In 2017, Colliers International Office Agency leased a record amount of space. The tenant and landlord representation teams closed a total of 200 transactions in Poland, which translated into 286,000 sqm of office space leased in Warsaw and regional cities. This is the best result in the history of the company’s operations in Poland.

The demand structure in tenant representation transactions was dominated by new agreements (27%), renegotiations (24%) and relocations (21%), while renegotiations with expansion constituted 17%. The majority of landlord representation transactions were new agreements (48%), renegotiations (34%) and expansions (18%).

Colliers leased the largest amount of office space in Warsaw (nearly 96,000 sqm), while among regional cities, the top positions were occupied by Poznań (35,000 sqm), Tricity (25,000 sqm), and Kraków (20,000 sqm).

“2017 was exceptionally good not only for Colliers Office Agency, but also for the entire office market and tenants from this sector. Many of our clients have developed their business and sought new locations for their offices with us. We would like to thank all our clients for their trust and cooperation. I must also underline that such good results would not have been possible without the huge commitment and passion of our entire team. We focus on the highest quality of services and our clients appreciate this,” said Paweł Skałba, Senior Partner and Director of the Office Agency at Colliers International.

The largest transactions finalised by Colliers last year were concluded in: Poznań (25,500 sqm, confidential tenant), Bydgoszcz (21,152 sqm, ATOS), Kraków (10,400 sqm, HCL) and Warsaw (7,200 sqm, confidential tenant).

“It is worth noting that the share of regional cities in the total volume of office transactions is still growing. We operate on markets that have market indicators at different levels. Nevertheless, last year we managed to achieve the best result in the history of our presence on regional markets. The number of metres is not the most important though. It is the satisfaction of clients that counts most. Our experience and strategic approach to business have allowed us to build a bridge between tenants and landlords and create long-term relationships with them,” said Robert Karniewski, Senior Partner and Regional Markets Director at Colliers International.

The most active tenants advised by Colliers represented the following sectors: IT and telecommunications (24%), investment advisory (14%) and professional services (13%).

For business achievements in 2017 Colliers International has been awarded the title of the Best Real Estate Agency in the Outsourcing Stars competition.
