Sales also increased after seasonal adjustment

After eliminating the impact of seasonal factors, retail sales at constant prices were 4.7% higher in June than a year earlier. Compared with May, they increased by 1.7%.

Statistics Poland noted that the strong annual growth in sales was influenced, among other factors, by a larger number of trading days than in June 2025. This means that part of the acceleration may have resulted from the calendar effect, although growth also remained positive after seasonal adjustment.

Important: data at constant prices show the change in the actual volume of sales after eliminating the impact of price changes. They therefore provide a better indication of whether consumers purchased more goods than a year earlier.

Data do not include the smallest companies

The data published by Statistics Poland cover trade and non-trade enterprises employing more than nine people. Companies are classified according to their predominant type of activity.

Changes in sales within individual groups may partly result from organisational changes at enterprises or changes in their predominant type of activity. According to Statistics Poland, however, this does not affect the growth rate of total retail sales.
