In September, the new Chairman of the Board of the Musketeers Group, Sławomir Czarnecki, implemented the first strategic change in the company structures. He appointed Maciej Ćwikliński to the position of President of Intermarché in Poland. Ćwikliński, an experienced entrepreneur and owner of two of the network’s supermarkets, will have the support of a parallel board, made up exclusively of Intermarché store owners in Poland.

Maciej Ćwikliński as President

As President of the Board of Intermarché, Maciej Ćwikliński will lead the SCA PR Polska company, responsible for creating and implementing the commercial strategy of the network throughout the country. He will also head the SCA Petrole company, overseeing fuel distribution to nearly 70 petrol stations operating at supermarkets. This is his second term as President, to which he returns after a several-year break.

Maciej Ćwikliński currently runs two Intermarché sales points – in Słupca and Błonie. He graduated from the Poznań University of Technology, and before joining the Musketeers, he gained experience in several trade companies in managerial positions. As part of his commitment to the Group, he dealt with network marketing and procurement negotiations. He also served as a member of the Board of IMMO Musketeers, a company responsible for the development and management of the Group’s assets in Poland.

“Assigning me again the mission of managing the Intermarché network is a sign of trust for me and the entire board, which together with me will take responsibility for the future of the brand in Poland. Our key goal is to return to development, to achieve a critical mass in the next few years. After the restructuring period, we are ready to use all kinds of possibilities, including through the joining of existing stores, networks and buying alliances, to successively implement plans for strengthening the position of Intermarché on the Polish market. At the same time, we will also strive for customers, by constructing a proper commercial policy for the entire chain, all shops and petrol stations,” says Maciej Ćwikliński, President of the Commercial Directorate of Intermarché in Poland.

New Intermarché Board in Poland composed exclusively of store owners

The Musketeers Group stands out with its unique business model, in which the key roles within the Group’s structures are performed by associated entrepreneurs. Intermarché represents nearly 250 independent supermarket owners. The newly appointed board is proof of the implementation of company co-creation values. The board of the Commercial Directorate of Intermarché in Poland includes:

• Katarzyna Jaworek (owner of Intermarché in Łowicz),
• Rafał Becela (owner of Intermarché in Wolsztyn and Zbąszyń),
• Grzegorz Kańtoch (owner of Intermarché in Bukowno),
• Marek Cieluba (owner of Intermarché in Lipno).
