The record-breaking New Mobility Congress 2023 has concluded. Over 3 thousand representatives from the e-mobility industry from all over the world came together for three days to discuss key trends and challenges related to transport transformation. Over 150 partners and exhibitors, on an exhibition space of 13,000sqm at EXPO Łódź, presented the latest zero-emission technologies. The key takeaway from the largest mobility conference in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region is that Poland needs to seize the historical opportunity offered by the development of electromobility for its economy.
The fourth, record-setting edition of the New Mobility Congress is now behind us. The numbers attest to the event’s scale: six stages, almost 3 thousand participants, over 300 speakers from around the world, 100 debates, workshops and scholarly presentations, over 150 partners and exhibitors, 15 industry premieres, 19 thousand sqm of expo space. Participants included representatives of EU institutions, central and local government administration, ambassadors, business representatives, higher education institutions, law firms, the third sector, and the media. So, what are the main takeaways from NMC 2023?
1. “Seven for Electromobility” – will boost the Polish economy.
During NMC 2023, e-mobility sector representatives signed the “Seven for Electromobility” statement, addressed to the public administration, appealing for urgent action to take advantage of the historic opportunity that Poland faces with the transformation of the transport sector towards zero emissions.
2. eHDV – the heavy road transport sector on the road to electrification needs subsidies, legal changes, and expansion of charging infrastructure.
The TSL industry is one of the largest branches of the Polish economy.
3. City residents must learn about the benefits of implementing clean transport zones.
One of the major topics discussed at New Mobility Congress 2023 were clean transport zones.
4. Poland won’t meet AFIR targets without investment in electrical infrastructure.
