In the first half of 2023, restaurants belonging to the Sfinks Polska network generated a gastronomic sales of 89.84 million PLN compared to 77.80 million PLN the previous year. In terms of consolidated figures, the Sfinks group recorded revenues from sales amounting to 50.32 million PLN at the end of June, which is 13% higher than the previous year. Furthermore, Sfinks group also reported a net profit of 313 thousand PLN in the first half of the year.

“The driving force behind our group is the SPHINX restaurants which managed to increase their turnover by 17% in the first half of the year, despite being fewer in number. It is important to note that our monthly published data indicates an even greater dynamics, above 21% visible for the so-called comparable network. It is a combined effect of the popularity of the brand and several of our actions related to the offer for guests, including the constant and seasonal menu, quality in the restaurants, promotional campaigns, as well correct choice of location for new restaurants. Our loyalty program and Aperitif application, which are used by about 600 thousand of our guests, also play a vital role in boosting our sales. Consequently, as a group, we have seen an increase in sales profitability, which rose to 27.2% in the first half of 2023 compared to 26.3% a year earlier. That is why we have huge developmental plans for the SPHINX brand this year and in the following ones, which will be an important part of the new strategy for Sfinks group that we intend to publish in the coming days,” says Sylwester Cacek, CEO of Sfinks Polska.

After the half-year period came to a close, three new SPHINX restaurants joined the network. SPHINX Cocktail Bar started operating in Jarocin in a new format. After about a year of absence, the brand made a return to a former prestigious location in Wroclaw. The first SPHINX hotel restaurant also opened in Zabia Wola, on the Warsaw-Katowice route. Further establishments under this brand are planned to open later this year.

Reflective of the increasing revenues and profitability of the Sfinks group is the consolidated sales profit, which amounted to 13.69 million PLN in the first half of this year, compared to 11.73 million PLN in the first half of the last year. The other categories of the semi-annual profit and loss accounts, especially the net profit, are incomparable to last year’s levels, due to the impact (26.3 million PLN) of an arrangement with creditors. In the first half of this year, the consolidated net profit amounted to 313 thousand PLN, compared to 17.35 million PLN the previous year.
