A group of biggest commercial property market leaders are supporting the personnel of 11 hospitals and medical centres across Poland through daily deliveries of meals. The #property4heroes initiative is an expression of gratitude from developers, investors and property owners for the hard work of physicians, nurses, supporting personnel and paramedics.

Normally they compete, but in the face of coronavirus they are joining forces to help. CPI Property Group, Echo Investment, EPP, Ghelamco, Globalworth, Griffin Real Estate, HB Reavis, Immofinanz, Invesco Real Estate, Panattoni, Skanska and Vastint have arranged daily deliveries of meals to the personnel of hospitals and medical centres fighting the coronavirus. Companies operating in the real estate industry have set up special teams to coordinate the purchase and delivery of meals.

property4heroes_ENCurrently the aid is provided to 11 hospitals and medical centres in Gdańsk, Katowice, Kielce, Krakow, Poznań, Szczecin, Warsaw, and Wrocław. They receive 970 meals a day. Their purchase and delivery is funded entirely by the companies participating in the initiative. The meals come mainly from the cafeterias, restaurants and bars which are tenants in the buildings owned by the participating companies. This way food providers are supported as well. For the next two months real estate companies will provide more than 40,000 meals as part of the #property4heroes initiative. Representatives of the participating companies emphasize that this way they want to express their gratitude to healthcare workers who risk their health and lives every day fighting against the pandemic.

“We can do much more by acting together. We are coordinating our support and trying to reach the hospitals which are at the frontline of the battle and have urgent needs.  We are supported by coordinators of the Wsparcie dla Szpitala (Aid for Hospital) initiative. Thanks to them we know that employees of the most overwhelmed hospitals every day work much longer than their work schedules provide for. Quite often they are locked in their ward with no time to order dinner and, in addition, they are not welcome in the local stores. Therefore we decided to provide them with dinners ourselves. We are an open initiative and other companies from our industry are welcome to join,”  say organisers of the #property4heroes initiative.

The #property4heroes initiative is a joint effort of a group of biggest companies from the commercial property market. Apart from it, every participating company independently supports initiatives which are in line with their goals, values and corporate social responsibility policies. The initiative is open to every company wishing to join it.
