The Polish export support agency KUKE and Propav Infraestructuras, an international company specializing in infrastructure development in African and South American markets, have signed a cooperation agreement that will enable Polish exporters to integrate into supply chains as part of the corporation’s global projects. This is the first agreement of this type in KUKE’s history.

Venturing into foreign markets and independently searching for consumers, can be challenging, expensive and fraught with risk for small and medium companies. However, the support from an experienced business partner significantly increases the likelihood of securing attractive contracts and initiating or strengthening international expansion.

KUKE not only insures trade receivables, investments and provides financing to Polish and foreign businesses, but also assists them in finding business opportunities to accelerate their growth.

“Our Shop in Poland program serves this purpose. Global entities, often general contractors, inform us about their need for products or services required in their projects. We relay this information to Polish firms who have expressed their interest in these opportunities. All that remains is for the parties to agree on the contract conditions. Meanwhile, we arrange project financing and ensure that the Polish supplier gets paid. Propav Infraestructuras is a recognized expert on emerging markets and the first foreign entity with which KUKE has formalized cooperation within the Shop in Poland program,” says KUKE President, Janusz Władyczak.

Thanks to the agreement, Polish exporters will be able to easily seek opportunities to join as suppliers to projects carried out by Propav Infraestructuras.

“The agreement marks the beginning of a strategic alliance which – we are sure – will bring mutual benefits. We see many opportunities to involve Polish exporters in our projects. We initially focus on initiatives linked to the African continent, particularly in the infrastructure, railway, energy and water sectors. We are excited about the prospect of cooperating with KUKE and look forward to realizing projects that will contribute to economic growth and sustainable development in regions where we are active,” adds Cristiano Becker Hees, Director of Transaction Structuring at Propav Infraestructuras.

The agreement stipulates that KUKE will facilitate direct contact between Polish companies and Propav Infraestructuras, to make partnership offers and their conditions accessible. The first opportunity is joint workshops for national exporters during the Warsaw Business Forum 2023 organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The parties will also conduct training and share knowledge with Polish entrepreneurs about the specifics of African markets, supporting the internationalization of their operations.

The participation of Polish suppliers in Propav Infraestructuras projects will enable KUKE to provide support in the form of insurance against political and credit risk, facilitating the financing of these ventures.

KUKE and Propav Infraestructuras are committed to implementing foreign investments in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, ensuring the improvement of the quality of life of local communities and respect for the natural environment.
