Warsaw-Radom Airport has secured its second regular carrier, and its fourth in total. Wizz Air’s first service, initiated during the winter season to Larnaca in Cyprus, is the fourth destination announced for the winter season from Warsaw-Radom airport, after Rome, Paris and Sharm el-Sheikh. The international low-cost carrier, Wizz Air, will commence regular flights from Radom airport starting on December 13, 2023.
Since being launched in April this year, Warsaw-Radom Airport has served over 86,000 travelers and is staking a strong position on the map of Polish regional airports. Since its opening earlier this year, the airport has shattered its predecessor’s cumulative result from the years 2015-2017.
The excellent results of Warsaw-Radom Airport were one of the arguments that led Wizz Air to establish a new route. Wizz Air, an international airline, is the second scheduled, and the fourth carrier overall, to commit to Warsaw-Radom Airport. Besides the international low-cost carrier, several other airlines will also depart from Radom airport in the winter season.
Wizz Air starts its cooperation with Warsaw-Radom Airport by launching an attractive destination to Larnaca, Cyprus. The first service will take off on December 13, 2023. Flights to Larnaca will run twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
“I am delighted with Wizz Air’s decision. This is fantastic news, not only for Warsaw-Radom Airport but also for our passengers. I am confident that our partner’s connection will gain popularity and our passenger base will grow dynamically. We have beaten the cumulative result of the previous airport’s years of operation shortly after opening. This is proof that Warsaw-Radom Airport has already achieved success and has permanently etched itself onto the map of Polish aviation,” says Stanisław Wojtera, President of Polish Airports.
“We are extremely pleased to announce a new route from Radom. This expansion is a testament to our mission of making air travel more accessible and enjoyable for an increasing number of passengers. We’re thrilled to offer a new holiday destination for travellers from Radom. We eagerly await the opportunity to service passengers on this route and provide them with exceptional experiences. Passengers can expect the highest standards of service, comfort and safety thanks to our modern fleet and dedicated crew, which strives to make each flight carefree and enjoyable,” says Sasha Vislaus, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.
