XTB delivered the strongest half-year performance in its history, generating nearly PLN 2.09 billion in operating revenue and an estimated consolidated net profit of almost PLN 1.03 billion in the first six months of 2026. The investment company also acquired a record 703,000 new clients, while the number of active clients rose to 1.49 million.
XTB’s estimated consolidated net profit increased by 150.5% compared with the first half of 2025. In the second quarter alone, the company generated more than PLN 492 million in estimated net profit.
Consolidated operating revenue rose by 79.7% year on year to nearly PLN 2.09 billion, including more than PLN 992.6 million generated in the second quarter.
The company attributed its performance to heightened volatility across financial markets, increased investor activity, extensive marketing campaigns and the continued expansion of its product range.
Market volatility was particularly high in commodities during the opening months of 2026. Significant price movements were subsequently recorded across US stock indices, especially in the technology sector.
Commodity CFDs Generated Most of XTB’s Trading Result
Contracts for difference based on commodities accounted for 75.3% of XTB’s gross result from operations involving financial instruments during the first half of 2026.
Index-based CFDs represented 13.9% of the result, while currency CFDs, including instruments linked to cryptocurrencies, accounted for 5%.
The result generated from other financial instruments, including shares and exchange-traded funds, reached almost PLN 83 million. This represented an increase of 129.6% compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
Although CFDs continued to generate most of the company’s financial result, XTB reported a gradual shift in client activity towards shares and ETFs.
The company is seeking to transform itself from a broker traditionally associated with short-term CFD trading into a comprehensive financial application supporting investing, saving and long-term wealth management.
More Than 703,000 New Clients
XTB acquired more than 703,000 new clients during the first six months of 2026, representing an increase of 94.5% year on year.
The number of active clients reached a record 1.49 million, up 74.5% from the first half of 2025. By 28 July 2026, XTB’s total client base had exceeded 2.9 million.
The company is targeting one million new clients across the whole of 2026.
Client acquisition was supported by the largest marketing activities in XTB’s history, covering both digital channels and traditional media.
The company also entered into major sponsorship agreements designed to increase its international brand recognition. These included cooperation with FIBA in connection with the men’s and women’s basketball world championships and a sponsorship agreement with Italian football club SSC Napoli.
Omar Arnaout, chief executive of XTB, described exceeding PLN 1 billion in net profit as a historic milestone, while emphasising that the company intends to continue expanding its global presence and product offering.
He said XTB’s strategy remained focused on reaching mass-market clients, developing a broader range of financial products and building a globally recognised investment brand.
Client Assets Exceed PLN 50 Billion
The total value of assets held by XTB clients reached PLN 50.3 billion at the end of June 2026.
Shares represented the largest category, with a total value of more than PLN 23.3 billion. Client assets invested in ETFs exceeded PLN 20 billion.
The figures indicate that shares and ETFs together accounted for the vast majority of assets held through the XTB platform.
The company also reported growing interest in tax-advantaged and retirement investment accounts.
XTB clients have opened more than 190,000 Individual Retirement Accounts, known in Poland as IKE accounts, and more than 52,000 Individual Retirement Security Accounts, or IKZE accounts.
Outside Poland, clients in France have opened more than 15,000 PEA investment accounts. In the United Kingdom, the combined number of ISA and Cash ISA accounts exceeded 10,700.
According to XTB, the increasing popularity of shares, ETFs and retirement products shows that clients are increasingly using its platform for systematic capital accumulation rather than exclusively for short-term trading.
XTB Expands Its Product Range
The company introduced several new products and application features during the first half of 2026.
XTB continued to expand the availability of options trading. The service is currently available to clients in Germany, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
A new version of the company’s Investment Plans was also launched in Germany, Spain and Slovakia.
The updated service allows clients to construct portfolios containing both shares and ETFs. It also offers ready-made portfolio proposals based on selected sectors, investment strategies and approaches to risk.
XTB added new portfolio management tools that allow clients to select individual shares or ETFs for sale instead of relying exclusively on the first-in, first-out accounting method.
Advanced charts developed in cooperation with TradingView were also introduced.
The company additionally extended trading hours for selected European shares and ETFs. Almost 1,000 instruments listed on European exchanges are now available to XTB clients between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.
New Cybersecurity Features
Cybersecurity remained an important area of investment during the first half of the year.
XTB introduced an Emergency Account Lock feature that enables clients to immediately block access to their account after detecting suspicious activity.
The company also launched real-time telephone-call verification. Clients speaking with a member of XTB’s customer service or sales team can request an in-app notification confirming the caller’s identity.
The feature is intended to reduce the risk of impersonation fraud and other forms of social engineering.
Spot Cryptocurrency Trading Planned for Additional Markets
XTB is continuing work on the expansion of spot cryptocurrency trading.
The service is already available in Cyprus and is expected to be launched in additional markets during the third quarter of 2026.
The company plans to introduce the product first in Latin America and subsequently in selected European markets, subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
XTB has also expressed interest in launching spot cryptocurrency trading in Poland if the applicable regulatory environment allows it.
The first-half results indicate that the company’s rapid client growth, strong financial performance and expanding product range are supporting its transformation into a broader investment and financial-services platform.
At the same time, the structure of its financial result shows that XTB remains highly exposed to market volatility and trading activity, particularly in commodity-based CFDs.
